Staying Proactive

Twin Creek Kayak and Canoe Livery (TCK) is taking the necessary actions to help prevent the potential spread of the coronavirus. We monitor coronavirus developments on a daily basis for updates from local, state, and federal public health agencies and local jurisdictions. TCK  is taking guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and public health departments.  

Additionally, we are committed to providing transportation services for our customers.                                                              However, we stand ready to make changes if the situation changes.

Temporary Changes During COVID-19:

Rental Equipment Restrictions:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  

  1. Limited to Single-Seated, kayaks only. This will ensure safe social distancing and effective disinfecting.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

  2. Trip length are 7, 5 and 3 miles and are most popular trip is the 7 mile                                                                                                                                            

  3. Coolers must be small enough to fit on the single kayak

Vehicle Restrictions:                                                                                                                                                                                   

  1. Limited Seating; Multiple seats will not be available so passengers can remain at a safe social distance.                                                                                                                                                                         

  2. Riders will board the vehicles after the driver has exited, then begin loading, starting with seating at the back of the vehicles. Upon reaching the launch-site, guests are to remain seated until the operator has exited the vehicles.  Exiting will begin with the passengers nearest the door and ending with the passengers that are seated in the rear seat.                                                                                                                                 

  3. Windows are to remain open during transport to create air flow ventilation.                                                                                   

  4. For the health and safety of passengers and our operators during COVID-19, please stay behind the white line. If you have a question please speak loud enough that the operator can hear you while remaining behind the line.                                                                                                                               

Specifically, here is what TCK is doing:

  1. In addition to our daily rigorous cleaning of our vehicles, we will be applying a sanitizing disinfectant that kills the coronavirus to all surfaces inside vehicles, boats, paddles & facilities. This disinfectant is effective at killing the coronavirus. 

  2. Life Jackets will be washed with a disinfectant 

  3. Providing hand cleansing for use by drivers, employees and administrative employees at all workplaces

  4. Practicing social distancing in all workplaces. 

  5. Social distancing will be reminded to customers thru vehicle safety talk, website, trip purchase, waiver and signage
